Further to my email sent 11th August and in respect of the above application I would like to confirm that the existing lead roof to the extension is not original material – it dates from 2006 when the property was extended.
Furthermore, the proposal would involve reinstatement of a lean-to roof to allow for greater internal head height and correct where the current roof cuts across the stone lintel of what is now an internal door. It is noted that the extension replaced as part of the 2006 consent was a lean-to type addition, evidence of which can be seen on the stonework on the north elevation.

Dear Sirs,
Thank you for your response dated 10th June 2021, which relates to the above application for the erection of a first-floor side extension, insertion of new first floor window openings and erection of detached garden room and associated works at 49-50 Meadow Park, Bathford, BA1 7PY.
Regard has been given to the concerns raised, and during the course of this application I have accordingly sought to work with relevant parties such that those concerns could be addressed and mitigated to a point of acceptability.
Given the revisions made, as well as the overall design, context and nature of the proposal, it is my view that the proposal no longer constitutes overdevelopment of the site, or unacceptably prejudices the amenities of neighbouring occupiers. The scheme is now considered to accord with all relevant policies.
Accordingly, the officers’ recommendation is to permit the application. The recommendation was referred to the Chair and Vice Chair of the Planning Committee given the original comments made and that no further comments appear to have been received. The Chair and Vice Chair have decided that the application will be delegated for determination.
