About the Website
The site was launched on 17 April 2005 and was announced at this year's Annual meeting on Monday 18 April.
The Council considers that it should have its own web site for the following reasons:
- Any official communication about the Parish Council and its affairs should be independent of any commercial or external influences or input and under its direct control.
- As a local government organisation, we have a wide range of information and material that we would like to make available and a web site is a good medium to do this.
There is no discussion forum on the Parish Council website but there is a means of contacting the Clerk directly and any issues raised by this method will be brought to the relevant Councillor's attention.
The Parish Council web site is one of several ways we are trying to improve communication within the Parish, a need which was identified in the early stages of the production of the Parish Plan.
